The pictures above show the chapel at the Icehotel. Sometimes there are 2 weddings a day during the busy Icehotel season, and apparently most of the couples exchanging vows are British, since there is a direct flight from the U.K. to Kiruna.

Across the street from the Moderna Museet, Stockholm, visitors leaving the museum are caught in the light of a street lamp. They briefly stop to look at the surreal light that emanates from the art gallery facing the museum of modern art.

Arriving by ferry in southern Sweden. At 10:00am the water is slick and nearly frozen, so the gentle ripples move in slow motion. The sun is rising, but in January it barely grazes the horizon, and daylight lasts only a few precious hours.
