Gli Scalzi, Venezia.
One of the many beautiful church facades in Venice, Gli Scalzi was built in the 17th century, and today the train station is located right next to it. It doesn't house as many artistic treasures as other Venetian churches, also because it lost an important Tiepolo fresco in 1915, when an Austrian shell hit the church.

At the adjacent train station, sleepy pigeons (the flying rats of Venice), are basking in the first rays of the winter sun, occupying the sign of Italy's 'Ferrovie Statali'.
