I love the colors of Italy, and the term 'earth colors' could not be more appropriate. For millennia, the buildings of the Roman Empire (and of the entire globe for that matter) have worn the earth's wide palette of natural colors: Ochre, umber, sienna, and also red hues that come mostly from iron oxide.
